Hover Wyvern Overview
Hover Wyvern is labeled a defense blade, but its aggressive oval shape actually makes it a strong smash attacker. Players run it because those two sharp contact points can knock opponents clean out of the ring.
Strengths
- + Oval shape delivers surprising smash and KO power
- + Contact points also deflect hits from above and below
- + Flexible: works in attack or defense builds
- + Heavy rim weighting helps it keep spinning
Weaknesses
- − High recoil can bounce it around on a bad hit
- − Not a true wall like dedicated defense blades
- − Two contact points mean timing matters more
Despite the defense label, build Hover Wyvern like an attacker on a flat or rush bit, like 9-60LR or 1-60LR, and launch hard to smash opponents out. On Kick or a defensive bit it can also sit lower and punish attackers with recoil. Hunt stamina and defense blades you can KO, and respect true attackers that can out-speed it. In a 3v3 deck it is a sneaky attack or anti-attack pick that opponents may misread as pure defense.
